FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS REGARDING OUR ONLINE KIOSK FOR ORDERING DIGITAL PHOTO PRINTS

Which file formats do you accept?

All files should be RGB, 8 bit and either jpeg or tiff. We cannot print RAW, PDF, psd, 16 bit, 32 bit or CMYK files.

How do I know if my order has been received?

You will receive a confirmation email from us after you place your order. If you do not receive an email within a few hours, please call us on 0117 930 0622 to check the situation.

I want to print some more images. Can I add them to my order?

Once your order has been sent, it cannot be modified. You will need to place another order with the additional images.

Cancellation Policy

Minimum 24 hours notice of cancellation required. Notification for instance, in person, via email, mobile phone ‘text message’ and/or fax, or any other means will be accepted subject to confirmation in writing. We reserve the right to levy a £30 charge to cover any subsequent administrative expenses.

Can I cancel my order?

Please contact us to try to resolve the problem. It is not always possible to intercept the orders as they go through the printing process very quickly.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Where possible we aim to dispatch orders within 24 hours of receiving them for print orders. Canvas wrap and Acrylic Panel orders take around 7 days. You will receive an email informing you when your order has been sent. If you have chosen Recorded Delivery your order should arrive the day after it was sent.

I haven't received my order. What should I do?

If your order hasn't arrived after the relevant period of time, please check with your local sorting office to see if they are holding any packages for you. Otherwise, please forward your confirmation email with a short note of explanation to contact@photographique.co.uk so we can investigate from our end.

Can I send a ZIP file of my images?

You can't upload a ZIP file using the online ordering system, but if you find it easier you can email one through to contact@photographique.co.uk or use wetransfer.com if it is a large file. All email orders will incur a £1 handling charge. If you are ordering different print sizes or quantities it is easiest to create separate directories for each, named accordingly - size, paper finish, border/no border, quantity. Examples of this would be folders named 8x10 gloss border x2 of each or 6x4 lustre no border x1 of each. If you want different sizes of the same image please include the file in both folders.

How do I pay for my prints?

We accept credit or debit card payments for all orders. You can provide payment details online when ordering, or over the telephone. If you are picking your order up from our store you can also pay with cash.

Do you provide other alternatives for payment if I don't feel comfortable sending my financial details over the internet?

You can pay over the telephone with a credit/debit card. When placing your order please select Pay Later, ensure you include the correct telephone number and write in the Comments section that you will be paying over the phone. Once you have received your order confirmation you can telephone us on 0117 930 0622 to arrange payment, or we will call you.Your order will not be processed until we have received payment.

If you are picking your order up from our store you can pay with cash.

Is there a minimum order value?

The minimum order value is £5.00. This will be shown on the shopping basket.

How secure is the online payment system?

The server used for orders uses the HTTPS protocol to encrypt all communication between clients and the company. It has a SSL certificate that certifies its identity, thus ensuring clients can be certain they are communicating with a trusted company.

Why has my image cropped?

Photographs can be printed in many different sizes, each of which have different aspect ratios. Digital images sometimes have different proportions to images taken from conventional film cameras. If the print size you choose has a different aspect ratio to the original image then some parts of the photograph may be cropped off. We crop to the middle of the image, so you will lose an equal amount from each edge. To check and edit how your image will be cropped, please click on the Edit button below your image order, then click on Crop.

Can I zoom in on my image?

Yes. Please click the Edit button below your image order, then click on Crop.. You can then drag the preview box around until you've achieved your desired image.

Can you print my image in black and white, or sepia?

Yes. Please click Edit in the Tools column to the right of your image order, then click on Image Effects. You can then choose your colour preference.

Are the prints made on the same photographic paper as in traditional processing companies?

Yes.

What resolution is required to order prints from my digital images?

The higher the resolution, the better the quality. The online ordering system has a built in Low Resolution Warning, you may choose to carry on with the order, or print at a smaller size.
